Anantara Makes U.S. Debut With 50-Story Branded Tower in Miami’s Edgewater
Anantara Hotels & Resorts is entering the U.S. market with a major branded residential project in Miami’s Edgewater, marking the first American address for the Thailand-rooted luxury hospitality brand operated by Minor Hotels. Developed by One Thousand Group in partnership with Minor Hotels, Anantara Miami Resort & Residences will rise 50 stories and 650 feet along Biscayne Bay, at the crossroads of Edgewater, the Design District, and Wynwood.
The project will include 100 private condominiums, 120 resort residences, and 50 hotel suites, positioning the tower as a hybrid between full-time ownership and hospitality-driven flexibility. Select residences will have access to the resort program, reflecting growing buyer demand for branded assets that combine lifestyle use with short-term operational optionality. Sales are expected to begin later this year, with delivery targeted for 2030.
Rather than leaning solely on traditional luxury branding, the concept centers heavily on wellness and longevity. The development is planned around a dedicated vitality center, recovery-focused programming, movement and nutrition services, and Thai-inspired hospitality rituals tied to Anantara’s “nam jai” philosophy. In a market increasingly crowded with branded towers, the emphasis on integrated wellness reflects a broader shift among high-net-worth buyers seeking experience-led living rather than purely amenity-driven residences.
Architecture is being led by Kohn Pedersen Fox alongside ODP Architecture & Design, with interiors by Patricia Urquiola, marking her first U.S. residential project. The tower will also include signature ultra-luxury features such as a private rooftop helipad, while design details are expected to blend Miami’s vertical urban character with subtle references to Anantara’s Thai heritage.
Set on a fast-transforming stretch of Edgewater with direct access to cultural anchors including the Pérez Art Museum Miami, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the project adds another high-profile branded development to a neighborhood that continues to attract luxury residential investment. For One Thousand Group, the launch reinforces Edgewater’s evolution from a residential alternative to one of Miami’s most competitive ultra-luxury corridors.
