Ponce Park Brings Centuries of Italian Craftsmanship to Coral Gables
Luxury condominium projects often emphasize premium finishes, but Ponce Park is taking a more hands-on approach. The Allen Morris Company traveled to Italy to personally select the natural stone that will define the Coral Gables development, choosing materials from quarries with centuries of architectural significance.
The 11-story project will feature travertine from Tivoli, the same region that supplied stone for the Roman Colosseum, alongside Calacatta Borghini marble quarried in Tuscany’s Apuan Alps, a source long associated with the works of Michelangelo. Rather than relying on standard material specifications, the development team selected individual stone blocks and marble slabs on-site, giving each residence a distinct natural character.
Interior design is being led by Meyer Davis, whose vision blends Mediterranean influences with contemporary luxury through a palette of stone, oak, bronze, plaster, and natural textiles. Shared spaces will include a spa with sauna and hammam, fitness facilities, rooftop social areas, and refined lobby interiors designed to create a residential atmosphere throughout the building.
Located at 3000 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Ponce Park is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in late 2027. Designed by Zyscovich Architects, the mixed-use development will include 58 luxury residences, approximately 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and homes starting at $3.1 million. As boutique luxury projects continue to gain momentum across Coral Gables, developers are increasingly using craftsmanship, material provenance, and architectural detail to differentiate their offerings in a competitive high-end market.
